Tony Watt has left OH Leuven by mutual consent.

The former Celtic striker moved to the Belgian side from Charlton at the start of the season but mainly featured as a substitute under former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson.

Watt has had a nomadic career which saw him scoring in the Championship for Cardiff City, Charlton and Blackburn Rovers.

Leuven were the third Belgian side that he played for with the 24-year-old expected to return to England where he can sign up as a free agent.

Celtic signed the teenager from Airdrie in January 2011, in April 2012 he scored twice on his hoops debut, appearing as a substitute away to Motherwell.

Despite his famous goal against Barcelona he was never started another match as a striker as Neil Lennon rotated between Anthony Stokes, Georgios Samaras and Gary Hooper for the striking roles.

As well as Celtic and Airdrie the striker spent the first half of last season on loan at Hearts.
