Paddy Power under attack

Paddy Power is feeling a Celtic backlash after claiming that Scott Brown’s testimonial match will be a cringe-fest of Republicanism.

Andrew Cunneen is the author of an article titled ‘IT MAKES NO SENSE FOR IRELAND TO PLAY IN SCOTT BROWN’S TESTIMONIAL’ which seems to have been inspired by trawling through the usual poisonous Ibrox fan sites.

what an embarrassing article, testimonials can be played against anyone, with them mostly against teams that will guarantee a full house, hence why so many pick celtic as their testimonial matches. No mention about the proceeds of this game going towards Liam Millers family either. The person who wrote this is a complete moron.

What an awful attempt at “journalism” you didn’t even let the dust settle, Scott Brown is jeered and booed at every ground in his own country he visits, the awful tartan army have never warmed to him and for him to try to maximise attendance so that Liam Millers family can benefit greater financially is a wonderful gesture, it may also help to remind the Irish fans of the heritage that links them to Celtic and to forget about following the sham EPL league sides.

Your observations are I’ll formed, I’ll educated and fascile, I’ve been a Celtic supporter all my life, do not sing any republican ditties, nor do my family or friends, we are a far richer family than your shite article depicts. Benefits go to Liam Millers family, Brown gets it you don’t.

The author makes little sense as he tries to justify his view with the claim that the opposition has been chosen to boost the attendance.

Brown’s Testimonial would be a sell out even if the opposition came from Burntisland Shipyard from his native Fife.

Cunneen makes the usual lazy accusations about the Celtic supporters song book, perhaps he could explain what he objects to from the group that brought The Fields of Athenrye and Grace to sporting arenas.

Paddy Power has built a great reputation on social media with borderline banter and trolling, it’s unlikelt that Cunneen will be allowing his dislike of Celtic and the hoops support spill over again under his employers title.
