Ferguson falls silent

Barry Ferguson has refused to back up his claim that Celtic got lucky- or provide an explanation for Kilmarnock’s lucky win at Ibrox last Saturday.

The former Clyde boss was widely ridiculed for his column in the Daily Record that stated Celtic had got lucky in their 3-2 win over Sevco thanks to the sending off of Jozo Simunovic.

Brendan Rodgers even gave that bizarre viewpoint a mention after Celtic held out for a point against the ten men of Motherwell.

This week’s column in the Daily Record is hopelessly devoted to Alex McLeish and Scotland. McLeish and Ferguson worked together at Rangers (IL), Scotland and Birmingham as they picked up £4.2m in disguised remuneration made through EBT payments.

Fergie was declared bankrupt just over six years after transferring his property assets to his wife.

With very little interest in a Friday night friendly against Costa Rica, Ferguson has side stepped the developing crisis at Ibrox while other former players line up to tell Murty where it has gone wrong.
