Simon Donnelly and Barry Ferguson were victims of a hilarious set up as they previewed Sunday’s Glasgow derby for Ladbrokes customers in the USA.

Former players are in high demand this week to share their thoughts on Sunday’s match with more and more social media channels wanting their predictions and memories of previous games.

With an American presenter drafted in Donnelly and Ferguson helped correct a few early questions such as how well Cristian Gamboa has played for Celtic and the influence of the Mexican imports at Ibrox.

When Ferguson was asked if Paul le Guen had taught him any French he made light of the question but after being asked if he helped Big Bob (Malcolm) out in his ice cream the penny dropped that the whole thing was a wind up.

What isn’t a wind up is Ferguson’s view that six Ibrox players would be in his combined Celtic & Sevco Select including David Bates and the £11m rated Alfredo Morelos.
