On Saturday morning Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Moth for February Josh Windass revealed that he was raging every time he found out that Boyd had scored as the two stars battle it out for the golden boot.
Writing in The Sun Boyd had explained that he had considered retiring under Lee McCulloch with new boss Steve Clarke recovering his appetite for the game.
Despite his incredible scoring record going back 18 years Boyd has only scored once against Celtic, in an end of season game at Ibrox after Gordon Strachan’s side had already clinched the title.
