Odsonne Edouard sparked life into Celtic’s Scottish Cup win over Morton and gave Brendan Rodgers a new striking option
The on-loan striker replaced Scott Sinclair at half time as Brendan Rodgers switched to a two man strike force.
Almost instantly the Morton defence found themselves stretched with the two French kids pushing for the opening goal.

.@Oedouard22 needs to start next week. His physicality and movement stretches defences and doesn’t allow teams to sit in. #Celtic

Much better 2nd half and the difference was tempo.
Why can’t we start matches as quick as we did that 2nd half?!
Better movement, closing down quicker & sharper passing.
Like the look of @Oedouard22
Deserved his goal. ????

Thought @Oedouard22 changed the game when he came on today. Looked like he wanted the ball & created space with his movement. Not the best of games, but it’s job done. #Celtic #CELMOR #ScottishCup.

Celtic had to wait until the 62nd minute to take the lead but when it arrived it was another sign that Dembele is returning towards top form.
Stretching back to connect with a teasing cross from Tom Rogic the former Fulham man powered a header towards goal that Derek Gaston was unable to present going Into the net off the crossbar.
Dembele put the match beyond Morton with a 71st minute penalty before Edouard crashed a close range shot into the net off a Morton defender in the final minute.
