Celtic have been linked with a move for Tom James.

According to a report in The Independent Swansea and Bournemouth are also keen on the right-back who only joined Yeovil last January from Cardiff.

Despite Yeovil struggling towards the foot of League Two James has made a big impression and signed a new contract in January keeping him with the club until the summer of 2019.

That contract will almost certainly contain a get out clause with a summer departure on the cards.

Swansea and Bournemouth can offer the 21-year-old the chance of Premiership football but the opportunity to work under Brendan Rodgers and potentially play in the Champions League will be tempting.

Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa will both be at the World Cup this summer leaving Anthony Ralston as the only right-back available for Celtic’s Champions League qualifiers.

Ralston hasn’t played a first team match since September but played for Celtic’s Development League side against Hibs on Saturday.
