After just three starts for Celtic Jack Hendry has been called into the full Scotland international squad.
With Kieran Tierney, who missed Celtic’s match at Motherwell and Russell Martin who played for Sevco in their defeat from Kilmarnock both pulling out Alex McLeish has drafted in the former Dundee defender.
Hendry, who will be 23 in May hasn’t played for Scotland at any level has enjoyed an incredible season after arriving at Dundee during the close season.
Good luck to former Academy player Jack Hendry who starts today against Motherwell. Great to see him back at Celtic. Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it. ???????? pic.twitter.com/JDDlHWZljk

His form for Neil McCann’s side quickly earned admirers with Celtic completing a £1m plus deal for their former academy pupil at the close of the January transfer window.
Scotland have friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary next week giving Hendry the opportunity to get some decent training in with just a shadow squad left at Lennoxtown this week before the serious business resumes with Celtic hosting Ross County on March 31.
