A week ago Sevco fans were expecting to be level on points with Celtic tonight but two home defeats in seven days has brought home some reality.
Despite a fantastic week at training the first half was a damp squib with the atmosphere in the stadium as flat as the performance on the park.
Kris Boyd, three years after being shown the door at Ibrox, knocked in the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute with little backlash from the home side.
Alfredo Morelos and Kenny Miller were sent on to salvage a point but after their seventh home defeat of the season Sevco could find themselves 12 points behind Celtic with a game more played if the hoops win at Motherwell tomorrow.
