Others might have fake credentials but there is absolutely no doubting Kieran Tierney’s Celtic credentials.

Social media has provided a diary of the defender’s development from ballboy to treble winner with details provided from the side of an angry Celtic Da at Hampden through to featuring in a Japanese documentary about Shunsuke Nakamura.

Earlier today another entry from the scrapbook appeared with a nervy looking schoolboy meeting Henrik Larsson.

His playing hero from that vintage may have been Bobo Balde but with 242 career goals Larsson is out on his own from that era for fans of all ages.

Signed by Wim Jansen in 1997 the frail looking Swede played a key role stopping 10-in-a-row but enjoyed his greatest successes under Martin O’Neill as Celtic became the dominant force domestically and re-established themselves in Europe.

These days starstruck kids look to get a selfie with KT, perhaps somewhere out there is a future team-mate or another local hero like the bhoy from Coatbridge.
