Rod Stewart is more than just a celebrity fan- he loves to give out stick and join in the banter.

Celtic’s 4-0 win over Sevco at Hampden was one that the rocker enjoyed as much as any hoops fan as Brendan Rodgers’ side demolished the tribute act without reaching top gear.

Rod was sitting in the posh seats but wasn’t going to miss out on the fun as he joined in the huddle and wabed good-bye to some ‘admirers’ from the other side.

First half goals from Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor put Celtic in control with the outcome of the match done and dusted by half time.

Andy Halliday’s angry reaction summed up the feelings in the Ibrox camp as second half penalties from Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham left the scoreline reflecting Celtic’s dominance in the match.

The two Glasgow sides meet again in a fortnight on SPFL business.
