Forty eight hours after watching their team crush Sevco 4-0, Celtic fans are still basking in the glory of another Derby Day success.

Sky Sports can put a professional gloss on the memories from Hampden but social media provides the real attachment sharing the view that the fans inside the stadium enjoyed.

As a place to watch football Hampden is badly lacking in many areas but it is a historic venue where many of Celtic’s greatest triumphs have been achieved.

Taking pictures and videos to record the great moments of success will give future historians a priceless resource to chart the great moments in club history.

On Sunday there was plenty of magic moments with a few surprises thrown in such as the Andy Halliday incident and Rod Stewart bidding farewell to some departing Ibrox fans.

The traditional anthems of celebration were well aired with the bond between the players, management and supporters as strong as ever thanks to the passion and ability that Brendan Rodgers brings to the job.

Next month Hampden could host the first ever double treble, the video clips from Sunday will provide some extra motivation as Rodgers and his squad look to make history.

ROD STEWART

More than just a celebrity fan, Rod has enjoyed the banter years like everyone else.

Although there is a Celtic supporters club and a Celtic bar in virtually every city he tours in he’ll no doubt have encountered some from the other side on his travels as well.

On Sunday he was in the posh seats but that didn’t prevent him from joining in the Huddle or bidding an early farewell to some fans of the gallant losers.

WHEN IT IS ALL OVER BEFORE HALF TIME!

When Callum McGregor placed his shot around Wes Foderingham the game was basically over.

The fighters chance that Sevco fans had taken to the match had disappeared just like the lack of fight and ability from their players out on the park.

Everyone in the stadium now knew that it was only going to be a matter of how many with the Celtic support in full party mode throughout the half time break and all the way through the second half.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, OR, SIMPLY THE BEST

This in a Banter Years classic production.

All it took was a couple of goals against Ayr United and Falkirk and the double was in the bag for Pep Murtiola.

A few days later Brendan Rodgers warned them (mainly the Sevco players) to be careful what they wish for, five weeks later and they’ve twice been turned over by Celtic!

The people in this video have had a miserable six years, there is little sign that the next six years are going to get any better, as someone said it is the hope that kills them.

YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

As the 90 minute mark approached that old anthem rose from the middle of the Celtic End.

Scarves were raised, the moment of joy was approaching with a half full Hampden in full voice to salute another stirring performance from Brendan Rodgers and his players.

It provided a great background for the television viewers and the perfect finale before the victorious players were over to join in the celebrations.

GRACE

Over the Rodgers years this brilliant song has been adapted as another anthem of the Celtic support.

Originating from one of the tragedies of the Irish Revolution in 1916 the words tell a moving story that is easy to follow and understand.

One hundred years later it is sung by fourth generation Irish settlers, and others in the west of Scotland and admired worldwide thanks to social media.

ANDY HALLIDAY

He comes from the Copland Road and knows the true meaning of being a Ranger.

But that wasn’t enough to spare Andy Halliday from the walk of shame as he was hooked off by manager Graeme Murty just after Celtic went 2-0 in front.

After liberally showering abuse around the technical area Halliday had to listen to thousands of gloating Celtic fans sing his name- the ultimate insult in any derby fixture.

DO DO DO DO DO DO

It’s all over now and time to party- and the Celtic support have had plenty of opportunities to party over the last two seasons.

Seven times Brendan Rodgers has taken his side to Hampden and emerged as the winner every time with Graeme Murty the third Sevco manager to come up short against the Irishman.

Next month the fans will be back, close to 40,000 strong hoping to witness history as Rodgers and his squad attempt to become the first club to ever win a double treble- Motherwell stand in the way.
