Scott Brown believes that he’d have got a five or six match ban if he had dished out the assault that Andrew Davies committed last Saturday.

The SFA have turned a blind eye to the x-rated attack from the Ross County skipper who will be free to play again after completing a two match suspension against Hibs tomorrow.

Brendan Rodgers was shocked by the incident and equally concerned by the SFA’s decision not to take any further action.

Celtic players have regularly been on the receiving end of brutal attacks over the last 18 months with referee’s reluctant to issue red cards.

With Davies avoiding further punishment for violent conduct it seems that opposing players have been given the green light to do as they please against Celtic players.

On the plus side for Celtic Kieran Tierney is likely to return to action against Hamilton on Sunday after missing three matches with a calf injury.
