Absent Sevco chairman Dave King made a surprise appearance at Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final win over Roma.
The South African based criminal was unable to find the time to watch his own company in action against Celtic ten days earlier but made his way to Anfield for the seven goal thriller.
As the television cameras switched to Kenny Dalglish celebrating a Liverpool goal King could be seen on screen with his hands in the air celebrating with the Anfield legend.

Unless Dave King is at Anfield on club business it pisses me off he has no time for Rangers matches, yet will fly to the UK to watch other teams in the UCL.

While some of the gullible interpreted the trip to Liverpool as a sign that Steven Gerrard is about to take over from Graeme Murty others were more sceptical of their company chairman.
King’s last contact with Sevco was to send out a letter promising instant success under a new manager which didn’t go down well with Murty with it’s timing coming six days before facing Celtic at Hampden.
Tellingly, as he previewed the match against Hearts Murty revealed that he had received great support from inside Ibrox but hadn’t been contacted by King.
