Murty disowns his players

Graeme Murty has disowned his Sevco players.

Losing 4-0 to Celtic was difficult enough but with five matches against the best sides in Scotland left to play the Sevco caretaker has to work with a dressing room that have effectively downed tools.

Murty’s learning journey hit the rocks at Hampden with his limitations brutally exposed by a group of players that no other club would be interested in.

Laying out the bibs and cones for Southampton or Norwich youth team players must feel heavenly to Murts as he switches on his laptop at Murray Park to review his Hampden humiliation.

His usual upbeat manner was posted missing at the after match media conference with one question, and the telling silence before answering explaining just how fractured the relationship is between manager and players.

Go to 4 min 30 to hear Murty’s answer.

Q: Did the players let you down today?

A: I’m not going to answer that one.

Murty suffered a brutal build up to the match on Sunday led by Dave King’s attack, with 13 days to go before meeting Celtic again it seems that the former York City starlet may be replaced by a dream ticket of Jimmy Nicholl and Kenny Miller in a bid to avoid further embarrassment.
