Ahead of their final clash with Celtic of the season Sevco fans are being reassured that all will be well next season!

According to a report in The Sun next season’s title charge will be led by Scott Arfield and James McArthur.

Both players are out of contract in the summer which makes the prospects of them lining up alongside Andy Halliday and Jason Holt even more unlikely.

With decent EPL pedigrees Arfield and McArthur can easily expect to pick up a £5m singing on fee and a weekly basic wage of £50,000/week.

The experiences of Bruno Alves, Eduardo Herrera and Carlos Pena suggest that the days of big wages are over with at Ibrox.

At the age of 29 former Falkirk midfielder Arfield has made 24 first team appearances as Burnley push for a Europa League place.

McArthur is a year older and has made 36 appearances for Crystal Palace this term, making that amount of appearances in the final year of his contract will ensure plenty of interest from other EPL clubs in the close season.

As well as preparing to face Celtic on Sunday the main action off the park at Ibrox this week will be Dave King failing to meet his self created deadline for making a 20p offer to shareholders.

The South African based criminal had until the 28th March to comply with the ruling from the Takeover Appeal Board backed up by the Court of Session.
