Two Sevco stars had to be pulled apart in the tunnel after the 4-0 humiliation from Celtic at Hampden.

With Young McCrorie red carded while Andy Halliday and Danny Candeias reacting angrily to getting substituted the last thing that Graeme Murty needed was a flare up between Greg Docherty and Alfredo Morelos.

According to the Daily Record that is exactly what happened, they claim: ‘Record Sport Online can reveal Greg Docherty and Alfredo Morelos had to be pulled apart as they clashed in front of stunned onlookers moments after the final whistle had sounded on the 4-0 derby demolition.

The pair were spotted swapping angry words as they made their way off the pitch with Portuguese veteran Bruno Alves acting as a peacemaker.”

An Ibrox grass added: “Emotions were running high. Morelos and Docherty went for each other and it was just as well there were enough people around to split them up before things got completely out of hand.

To make matters even more embarrassing some of Celtic’s backroom team were present at the time and they saw what went on.”

The last few months have turned into a disaster for Docherty and Morelos with one wanting into Ibrox and the other out.

Young Docherty realised a dream move to Ibrox from Hamilton arranged by Douglas Park but the dream has already turned sour with two hammerings from Celtic already on his score card.

Morelos had dreamed of an £11m transfer to China but after that fantasy fell through he has to deal with the reality of being a team-mate of Josh Windass.

Murty faces a near impossible task this week trying to rally the players he inherited from Pedro Caixinha with a visit to Celtic Park just 13 days away before the season officially ends away to Hibs on May 13.
