Chris Sutton has questioned Celtic’s January signings.

While Jack Hendry and Scott Bain have come good and Lewis Morgan drives St Mirren to promotion not much has been seen of the two highest profile signings.

Marvin Compper played against Morton in the Scottish Cup and has barely been seen since while Charly Musonda accompanies Patrick Roberts on the bench waiting for a chance to shine.

Celtic are closing in on a second successive treble there has been little impact from two new boys who have their work cut out to force their way into the side for next season’s Champions League qualifiers.

Where on earth is Marvin Compper and what’s happened to Charly Musonda?” Sutton asked in the Daily Record.

These players were brought in with a view to next season. Bed them in for the Champions League qualifiers but they are nowhere to be seen.

Musonda is a talented youngster but he’s in Scotland to play games, not sit watching from the sidelines.

Celtic were crying out for creativity against Dundee the other night and yet he and Patrick Roberts were twiddling their thumbs. I don’t get it.

Rodgers has been an undoubted success at Celtic and you can’t be too critical. He won’t say it publicly but he must know his side have not been up to the required level too often in this campaign.”

Musonda and Compper are unlikely to be in the starting XI at Hamilton tomorrow with just two starting SPFL starting appearances between.

Rodgers is expected to make a number of changes for the game with Hamilton although Kieran Tierney is unlikely to be risked on the astroturf despite recovering from his calf injury.
