A group of enterprising Celtic fans have put the words of Hugh ‘Shuggie Boy’ Burns to the music of David Bowie.

The former Rangers (IL) and Hearts defender became a smash hit on social media for his commentary during Celtic’s recent 3-2 win over Sevco at Ibrox.

Shortly before half time and with his team 2-1 in front Wes Foderingham decided to desert his line in favour of some action only to be lobbed by Moussa Dembele.

Sensing the danger Burns screeched into his microphone ‘Whits the goalie dain Tam, whits the goalie dain’ to Ibrox anchor man Tom Miller.

Picking up on ‘Rangers TV’ is now as much of a post match ritual as listening to Derek Johnstone on Radio Clyde as hoops fans soak up the pain as hope once again gives way to reality.

After the 4-0 hammering in the Scottish Cup the two Glasgow sides meet for the final time this season on April 29 at Celtic Park.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
