Across every area of the team Brendan Rodgers has some massive decisions to make for Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final with Sevco.

When the hoops won at Ibrox last month the strength of the Celtic substitutes bench was overwhelming with Stuart Armstrong, Odsonne Edouard, Patrick Roberts, Scott Sinclair and Charly Musonda all capable of changing a match.

Rodgers called the flow of that game perfectly. He read the signs clearly after Jozo Simunovic was sent off and had his plans carried out perfectly on the park by Scott Brown.

In attack the Celtic boss has four distinct choices although history suggests that Moussa Dembele will start the match due to his previous form in the fixture.

Based on his performance at Hamilton, Dembele wouldn’t be near a starting slot but as he demonstrated at Ibrox last month he gives them the fear and knows how to pop one in the back of the net.

Leigh Griffiths took less than a minute to find the net when he replaced Jack Hendry at half time but anyone selected at Hampden needs to have 120 minutes in their legs.

Despite having his calf problems cured it’s likely that Griffiths will be most effective at Hampden as the substitute that Sevco dreads.

The joker in the pack is Odsonne Edourd, the match winner when the teams last met.

On loan from Paris Saint Germain he has his own place in folklore and could compliment Griffiths or Dembele although Rodgers has never appeared keen in a forward pairing.

With six wins out of six this season at Pittodrie, Hampden and Ibrox Celtic go into Sunday’s match in confident mood, only a fool would bet against Rodgers calling it right with his striking selection.
