He certainly turned up for the bigger matches but it wasn’t difficult to find Celtic fans questioning the desire of Moussa Dembele during his second season at the club.
Like the team itself the heights of the 2016//17 season seemed elusive yet the striker was still effective- especially when appearing at Pittodrie, Ibrox and Hampden.
By definition leaders like Scott Brown are a rarity but one picture from the Scottish Cup Final suggests that the Celtic skipper has a disciple in Dembele.
A lot made of Scott Brown’s determination in the huddle at the cup final, going through deleting images from the game and noticed this image of Moussa as the huddle broke. He gets it too. pic.twitter.com/xwHaWn73S2

At Hampden six months earlier he had taken a kicking from the Motherwell defence, one ‘challenge’ in particular from Cedric Kipre somehow escaped punishment from Craig Thomson.
Undeterred the young striker again put himself in the firing line, taking one for the team as he helped create space for Callum McGregor and Olivier Ntcham.
Like previous transfer windows there is bound to be speculation about Dembele’s future over the next three months- his commitment however is not up for debate.
