Hampden produced many memories on Saturday but on and off the park it also delivered a vital message.

HERE WE GO TEN IN A ROW.

Anyone thinking, or hoping that complacency could set in at Celtic is in for a horrible shock.

The more that the club wins the greater the appetite for success becomes.

With a double treble won by Brendan Rodgers’ side thoughts are very much on next season and a treble treble. Why not?

There is one thought and desire that is overwhelming and that is a tenth successive title.

On Saturday Kris Ajer and Olivier Ntcham got their first taste of a cup win with Rodgers gradually updating and refreshing his squad.

This isn’t a squad that is reaching the end of it’s lifespan, they are coming into their prime. Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic are still short of their full potential but score regularly on the big occasions.

With seven titles secured the club is coming upto the final bend as they look out for the finishing straight towards that magical number ten.

Aberdeen have proved dogged campaigners but lack that finishing kick to put Celtic under pressure.

Hibs and Kilmarnock have their strengths but are unlikely to mount a challenge while the noise from Ibrox fails to deliver anything other than laughs and extra motivation.

Three more titles will need to be battled for and won on merit but the momentum is building with a new era of excitement for everyone at the club- on the park and off it.
