Alex Rae wants to see Steven ‘box office’ Gerrard intalled at Ibrox as soon as possible.
After Graeme Murty became the third Ibrox gaffer to be seen off the premises by Brendan Rodgers the Sevco support is almost at breaking point as they realise the state that their club is in.
Having no one in their squad that could get on the Celtic bench is the least of the club’s problems with every aspect of the club at death’s door.

Chairman Dave King is on the brink of a court appearance for contempt while the first £4m of season ticket holders money will go towards repaying an emergency loan from Close Brothers.
A business plan built around stopping Celtic has come undone but in Rae’s mind all of his club’s problems can be resolved by bringing in Liverpool’s u-18 coach.
“He’s box office,” the former St Mirren manager told Sky Sports. “He would bring a level of standard that has been missing in recent years from Rangers that has been diluted.
“The winning mentality needs to be brought back here and Steven Gerrard would do that, I’m sure.
“He needs financial backing from the board and he’s obviously in a strong position in negotiations at the moment. So he will be looking for assurances if he is looking to take up the post here at Ibrox.”
Despite opening talks over a week ago there has been no comment from Gerrard despite intense speculation about his future.
With Jimmy Nicholl in charge for the next three matches it looks increasingly likely that Gerrard will walk away leaving the tribute act to return to the usual suspects.
