Celtic fans have welcomed the club’s twitter account joining in the Banter Years.
This morning a tweet to Southampton was clearly carrying a not so subtle message to another club that refused to pay it’s dues.
Brilliant the person that’s running the accounts a legend already #payyourdues

The start of the Banter Years has been difficult to define but with characters named Green, Whyte, Llambias and King around there has been no shortage of material.
Ally McCoist was a major contributor in the early years with his quote about ‘we don’t do walking away’ before going out of cup competitions to teams such as Forfar, Queen of the South, Raith Rovers and Alloa.
The laughs weren’t at McCoist’s expense with the former Question of Sport skipper doubling his salary as he went onto gardening leave.
Mark Warburton introduced magic hats, Joey Barton took his coffee machine back home while Pedro Caixinha banned green boots and painted We Are The People in the dressing rooms and concourses at Ibrox.
With Celtic twitter now on board the Banter Years won’t be coming to a halt any time soon.
