Celtic fans reacted with joy to the news that Odsonne Edouard has signed a four year deal with the club.
Last August he arrived on loan as the third choice striker but is now the club’s record signing and ready to start pre-season training on Monday.
Everything at Celtic is geared towards reaching the group stage of the Champions League with the signing of Edouard a definite statement towards that goal.

The former Paris Saint Germain striker showed his potential with a goal on his debut against Hamilton Accies but had to bide his time for further opportunities.
A December hat-trick against Motherwell demonstrated all the instincts required of a striker but it was in the spring that his scoring ability came into perspective.
With Celtic a man down following the sending off of Jozo Simunovic Edouard came off the bench to score a stunning winner over Sevco at Ibrox.
That result killed off the noise from Ibrox about an unlikely title challenge- a few weeks later it was French Eddie that scored the first two goals as the hoops crushed Sevco 5-0 to tie up title number seven.
