Norwich City have signed Teemu Pukki at the end of his contract from Brondby.

Celtic signed the Finnish striker in 2013 from Schalke 04 but despite scoring on his debut away to Hearts he never looked like making the grade.

There was a very brief flurry of goals under Ronny Deila at the start of the 2014/15 season when he scored a double against KR Reykjavik at Murrayfield but before the summer transfer window closed he went on loan to Brondby.

After a year in the Danish League that deal was made permanent without any mention of a transfer fee involved.

Danish football seemed much more to his liking with 37 goals in two seasons attracting the interest of Norwich who are undergoing a major cost cutting exercise without parachute payments.

Pukki’s shy nature made it difficult for him to settle at Celtic with life at Norwich likely to be more in line with what he has been used to in Scandinavia.
