Not long after 11am this morning Alashkert suddenly found themselves on the football map.
In three weeks time the champions of Armenia will face Celtic in a Champions League qualifier that has seen their twitter following grow from 53 before the draw.
Over the last few seasons Celtic have found themselves travelling to Iceland and Ireland but after Linfield were unable to host a tie due to their Orange celebrations the hoops were kept clear of Crusaders in this years draw.

A google search for Armenia reveals that it is west of Azerbaijan and north of Iran and Iraq which presents die-hard fans with quite a journey that will see Celtic play four qualifying rounds if they are to reach the group phase.
Brendan Rodgers will already be gathering information on Alashkert with the club well versed in long distance travel following recent trips to Astana and Qarabag.
