Scott Brown has sent out an ominous warning as he leads the Celtic squad back to Lennoxtown today.
Four weeks of beaches, sunshine and golf courses are over now for the Double Treble winners as they return for another campaign.
With his international career now over Brown has enjoyed an extended break and no doubt spent some time over the weekend watching the World Cup and Brooks Koepka winning the US Open.
All of that will be forgotten this morning as Brendan Rodgers brings the bulk of his squad together for a week of high intensity training before heading off to Austria to include some match practise.
There won’t be any new faces today at Lennoxtown but the return of Odsonne Edouard will give the squad a big boost as well as sending out a message of intent to the rest of the Premiership clubs.
Brown won’t be bothered by the usual close season comments and threats from competitors, like Joey Barton, Pedro Caixinha and others he’ll do his talking on the park as he adds to the biggest medal collection currently playing in Scottish football.
