No tears were shed by Celtic fans following the announcement that Nadir Ciftci has left the club.
The former Dundee United striker arrived in 2015 from Dundee United with a six match domestic suspension after a biting incident in his farewell match at Tannadice.
Ronny Deila tried his best to introduce Ciftci to the team but with Leigh Griffiths scoring at will the new bhoys chances were limited.

Another one of Ronny’s duds out the door an absolute waste of money and bizarre signing.

Whoever gave him number 7 should be banned for life too

Genuinely forgot he played for us

Waste of a wage from the moment he signed. Just not good enough for the team. Hope he gets first team football wherever he goes

Halfway through his first season he was sent out on loan to Turkish side Eskisehirspor while Deila tried to get a tune out of Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim Richards.
Brendan Rodgers was very diplomatic, he made Ciftci captain for a friendly against Inter Milan after he had scored the opening goal of the Rodgers era in a 2-2 draw against NK Celje. Quietly Rodgers had dismissed the 26-year-old who went on loan spells at Pogon Szczecin, Plymouth and Motherwell.
Just three goals have been scored on those three loan spells, it’s unlikely that today’s decision will be one that comes back to haunt the hoops.
