Dean Windass has confirmed that his son Josh is available for £3m casting a shadow over the competence of Sevco’s Director of Football Mark Allen.
During January there were unconfirmed reports that Wigan and Preston were interested in the former Accrington Stanley starlet.
Predictably no business was done with Windass signing a contract extension in February at increased terms.
Surely when @WindassJnr signed his new deal the 3 million release clause in his old contract was raised to a higher valuation??? @DWindass10

Dean Windass really does hate @RangersFC desperate for his son to move ????

Wouldnt say he hates rangers – would say he hates some of the fans who have slated his son @WindassJnr even tho he has scored a boat load of goals this year. Work rate could be better, however what about Mccoist and Boyd quality goal scorers but didn’t do much.

His initial contract had an unlikely £3m get out clause which it appears that Allen has left in place in the new contract despite the improved status and profile that Windass now has.
Chatting with dad Dean on twitter one fan asked: Surely when ‘WindassJnr signed his new deal the 3 million release clause in his old contract was raised to a higher valuation??? @Dwindass10.
The former Hull City and Aberdeen striker replied with an abrupt ‘No’.
With no money left in Dave King’s transfer war-chest Steven Gerrard has to sell players before he can bring in anyone else for the Revolution.
