Steven Gerrard was forced to cover up a hole in his kit as he endured his first day at Murray Park.

Eagle eyed fans noticed the hole in the left sleeve of his Hummel top as he posed for a picture with his backroom staff at the run-down training ground.

Later in the day Gerrard was forced into an awkward pose to cover up the hole.

Sevco have signed up a three year deal with Hummel but have still to reveal any details of what sort of kit they will be wearing when the season kicks off next month.

Social media has been rife with reasons for the delay with the club likely to miss out on a windfall with the kit not available until after the school summer holidays.

Fake kits have been selling well in holiday resorts such as Turkey where local vendors have been raking it in from the gullible by selling orange and union jack themed shirts.
