Three years after Rangers were placed in liquidation Alex McLeish was boasting to supporters about one of their title wins during a foul mouthed speech in Blackpool.
Throughout his reign at Ibrox the Scotland boss used ineligible players with the club making secret payments into offshore Trusts to make their wages competitive with Celtic.
This week the SFA failed to defend Gary Hughes over a magazine comment 12 years ago in which he referred to the great unwashed at Ibrox. Hughes decided against standing for re-election to the SFA Board.
Footage of McLeish boasting, joking and swearing about how his team of 2004/05 cheating their way to a title ought to be a matter of concern for the SFA.
The current Scotland manager has a “conflict of interest” and must be “suspended pending an independent investigation.” @ScottishFA

I’m sure that you’ve all had brilliant moments in your life but I’d challenge you to try and f**** beat that one.
In 2012 the First Tier Tax Tribunal ruled that five of those trusts were illegal including Nacho Novo and Dado Prso who both played significant roles in the 2005 title triumph.
Now that the facts are known about that squad perhaps McLeish may wish to apologise for his part in that episode during which he picked up £1.7m in disguised remuneration which wasn’t registered with his current employers.

Regarding sporting advantage, the ridiculous Bryson testimony at LNS decided that.
SDM (Mr. Black) indicated at FTT that EBT’s allowed Rangers to buy players “not otherwise…obtainable”. Seconded by Alex McLeish. A view shared by the Court of Session in their review. pic.twitter.com/XrTXvHOOLd
