Lewis Morgan notched his first goal for Celtic and the fans lapped it up.
When the winger signed from St Mirren in January there was no great fanfare or excitement generated, the cynics suggested that it was a ‘Scott Allan’ type signing for some local one-upmanship.
Morgan returned to St Mirren on loan unaffected by his new found status and helped take the Paisley side to promotion as champions with something to spare.
Slowly Celtic fans began to take notice, he could use both feet, can cut inside, or outside and knew his way to goal.

It was the running with the ball on his right foot then a finish with the left foot. Class.

It’s easy for wingers to be showy, to catch the eye and look good with no end product in terms of goals or the final pass.
The opposition provided by Shamrock Rovers wasn’t the highest but Morgan has excelled in pre-season- from the moment video footage emerged of Leigh Griffiths scoring a spectacular over-head kick.
Very soon the demands are going to increase greatly, Alashkert and probably Rosenborg are tougher opponents than Morgan has previously experienced.
On his form so far the former Saint Mirren winger looks likely to take it all in his stride.
