There was a real Celtic theme to the St Roch’s team that won at Petershill on Saturday.
The Glasgow Junior side have had long connections with the hoops most famously having provided the first steps into football of James McGrory.

None of the players involved in the 3-1 win at Petershill are related to their namesakes at Celtic. Tonight ‘the Candy’ as they are known have another derby match when they travel to Ashfield in the League Cup.
With a lively social media team St Roch’s are hard to avoid as they proudly wear the green and white in the Junior ranks.
At the moment they are playing in the Sectional League with the League campaign starting on Saturday away to Arthurlie.
The highlight of their proud history occurred in 1922 when they won the Junior Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over Kilwinning Rangers.
