With so much bland media coverage around the twitter account of Tony Watt is certainly a breath of fresh air.

The former Celtic striker has been on and off twitter down the years but since returning to Scotland in the new year his current twitter account has been kept busy.

Rather than duck the big question Watt has been quite happy to back whoever was playing England during the World Cup which seemed to upset some of his southern followers.

While he prepares for his competitive debut for St Johnstone two of his (many) former clubs will meet in Glasgow, a fact that he couldn’t resist commenting on.

In 2014 Celtic sold Watt to Standard Liege bringing to an end a brief but memorable spell for the kid from Coatbridge.

Now at the age of 24 he is looking to establish himself in the St Johnstone side and realise his potential- almost six years on from that goal against Barcelona.
