Brendan Rodgers has named a full strength side for today’s friendly away to Shamrock Rovers.
Three days before facing Alashkert in the first competitive match of the season the Irishman is determined to give his squad as much action as possible before they hit the heat of Armenia where the temperature could reach 40 degrees.

Despite the undercurrent of transfer talk Kieran Tierney remains in the side with the 21-year-old the most experienced defender that Rodgers can call upon.
Odsonne Edouard’s signing appears to signal a change in formation with the young Frenchman lining up alongside Moussa Dembele in what looks more like a 4-4-2 formation than the 4-2-3-1 that has been preferred over the last two seasons.
Shamrock Rovers are likely to field a second string after playing a league match away to Cork City last night.
