In the worst kept secret in football Sevco and Hummel have played the orange card.

After paying £3m to get out of their joint deal with Puma and Sports Direct the troubled Ibrox club turned to the Danish firm for a replacement.

Social media accounts have been swamped with requests from supporters for an orange kit to recognise the close ties between Ibrox fans and the Orange Order.

Hummel were happy to oblige with supporters delighted to have the relationship formalised in the kit that the club will wear next season.

Although details of the kit colours has been confirmed there is no news on when the strips will be available for sale.

Kit sales are a significant source of income for most clubs with two kit launches normally timed to tap into the school summer holidays.

Despite recruiting Steven Gerrard and reports of record season ticket sales Sevco have only spent £5m on transfer fees so far.

After announcing Gerrard as manager Dave King told hand picked reporters that there would be a £6m right issue in June, like many previous promises that pledge remains unfulfilled by the South African based criminal.

Glasgow City Council permits more Orange Order marches than their counterparts in Belfast.
