Kieran Tierney has been named by UEFA among the top 50 prospects in the game.

At the age of 21 there aren’t many players who have packed in well over 100 club appearances including 29 in UEFA competitions.

Tierney has been voted Scotland’s Young Player of the Year in each of the last three seasons as well as picking up three SPFL title medals, two Scottish Cup and one Betfred Cup winners medal.

UEFA.com report: “The left-back has captained both Scotland and Celtic, his profile further enhanced by #UCL appearances in 2017/18.”

The defender has been training with Celtic since the age of eight and made his debut away to Dundee in April 2015.

Early in the 2015/16 season he replaced Emilio Izaguirre and has been a first pick ever since.

Despite signing a contract keeping him at Celtic until 2022 he has been linked with Manchester United, Everton, Juventus and Atletico Madrid over the last couple of months.

Tomorrow night Celtic face Rosenborg in a Champions League qualifier with Tierney hoping to feature in the group phase for the third season running..
