Scott Brown survived an x-rated horror challenge from Jack Storer as Celtic beat Partick Thistle 3-1 to reach the last eight of the Betfred Cup.
Early in the second half the former Solihull Motors forward deliberately went in high and late to run his studs down Brown’s leg.
Incredibly referee Craig Thompson had a clear view of the incident but decided that it was only worth a yellow card!
Another season of assault on Scott Brown with impunity.

Every game, multiple opposing players out to injury/hurt Scott Brown. Just shows how good he is. Best centre midfielder in Scotland. #captain #leader #legend

Can you imagine the meltdown if Scott Brown done that challenge on anyone? Red all day for storer!

Just becoming the norm now that Scott Brown receives a straight red tackle on him every game

If that was scott brown that made that challenge he would of been sent off no doubt about it

Yet again we see Scott Brown being targeted and zero protection

Forget Rangers and Celtic allegiances. Forget his previous. Scott Brown is well within his rights to be furious there. That was a horrific tackle. I honestly fear it’s going to take a career ending injury to protect players in Scottish football from hammer throwers

Treatment Scott Brown gets is a disgrace.

After treatment from the Celtic physio Brown was able to continue playing but all of the pundits on BT Sport were in agreement that the attack merited a straight red card.
Leigh Griffiths gave Celtic a first half lead with his 99th goal in the hoops but in the 72nd minute Thistle drew level through Andrea Mbuyi-Mutombo.
That sparked an immediate reaction from Celtic with Moussa Dembele and Tom Rogic netting in quick succession from Cristian Gamboa assists.
