Celtic or AEK Athens will play Malmo or FC Vidi in a Campions League play off with the losers facing Sudova of Lithuania or Spartaks Jurmala of Latvia in a Europa League play-off.

With the play-off stage taking place in a fortnight’s time the play-off draws had to be made before the third round ties are played.

The Europa League draw could have been much tougher but all eyes will be on Wednesday’s home match with AEK which looks like a tougher encounter than the play off round.

Malmo are at home to Vidi, formerly Videoton, on Tuesday night after beating Romanian side Cruj 2-1 on aggregate to reach the third round.

Last season’s title success is unlikely to be repeated as they currently sit in sixth place in the Swedish League, 11 points behind leaders AIK after 16 matches.

Former Brentford, Wigan and Leeds boss Uwe Rosler is currently in charge of Malmo.

Vidi produced a surprise in the second qualifying round by beating Ludogorets of Bulgaria and have picked up four points from their first two league matches.
