Celtic fans were in cynical mood this morning when the club announced the signing of Daniel Arzani on a two year loan deal from Manchester City.
The teenage Australian certainly looks an exciting talent but not many supporters had identified a winger as a priority position for signing.

Is he a centre half? Perhaps a right back?

Arzani only broke into the Socceroos squad at the turn of the year, doing enough to win a place in the 23 man squad for Russia.
France, Denmark and Peru proved a step too far but appearing as a sub in all three matches Arzani certainly made a big impression.
Manchester City were already in talks to bring him to Europe from Melbourne City with Celtic chosen as the next stage in Arzani’s development.
A two year loan deal is very unusual but it gives the player the chance to settle into a new way of life and a style of football very different to what he has previously experienced.
