Celtic fans have rushed to back Chris Sutton’s view that Dedryck Boyata is a bombscare who has acted disgracefully.
Despite Brendan Rodgers’ high regard for the defender few Celtic supporters have been convinced by the defender who played in Belgium’s three group matches at the World Cup Finals.
Celtic signed Boyata from Manchester City in 2015 for £1.5m but his first season was a major let down as the hoops crashed out of both cup competitions, failed to win a single match in the Europa League and held off Aberdeen in the SPFL.
Dedryck Boyata should be grateful Celtic gave him the opportunity to play… while he has some good attributes he has been a bombscare at times..He is a disgrace..Celtic need to get him out of the building ASAP..important thing is to get a quality centre half in now…

With our club going thorough enough this week who does the guy think he is? The amount of mistakes he has made. If it wasn’t for Rodgers he wouldn’t be the player he is!! Pure disrespect to him and our club ????????HH

IF he is refusing to play, then he should be suspended from ALL football by FIFA. He should not be paid his wages during that time, and should be forced to compensate his club. He was quite happy to sign the contract, so honour it! This should apply to ALL players with ALL clubs

Exactly. If the fee is anywhere near £9 Million suggested he should have been long gone. Kris Ajer is the best centre defender at Celtic IMO but reinforcements needed wether Boyata stays or goes.

100% correct. However as recent weeks have shown, we have an issue bringing in players who improve the squad. But there must be buyable CBs out there somewhere.

Spot on Chris. Personally think £5m is more than enough for him. As you said he was/is a bomb scare. Too big for his boots after a couple of mediocre games at the World Cup.

Correct big man …. says he respects us fans etc Na you don’t
No even got the bottle to speak with his gaffer face – face … sends his idiot agent , who says his client is injured , when he trained perfectly fine two day prior ????
Also he’s a bombscare , we & BR showed him

Rodgers turned to the Belgian international following the January 2017 winter break in Dubai and was rewarded with some solid performances and important goals.
Talks about talks for a new contract have been on the agenda for the last nine months but with no sign of a deal only the manner of his departure is still to be decided.
Sevilla have been credited with an interest in Boyata with his agent also claiming that there are bids in the pipeline from Turkey, Greece, Italy and France.
