Liam Henderson has confirmed his transfer to Hellas Verona.

The former Celtic midfielder joined Bari in January but after they went into liquidation he has was able to move on as a free agent.

Hellas were relegated from Serie A at the end of last season but are among the favourites to gain promotion in the new season.

Henderson made 19 appearances last season for Bari and arrives at Verona with experience from playing at Celtic, Hibs and Rosenborg as well as last season’s spell with Bari in Serie B.

Neil Lennon gave Henderson his debut as a 17-year-old with his first goal coming in the 5-1 title clincher away to Partick Thistle in March 2014.

Despite his undoubted talent the midfielder struggled to get a run in the side under Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers.

Last season Liam made a number of appearances in the Development League alongside younger brother Ewan who made his first team debut in the end of season match at home to Kilmarnock.
