Calvin Miller is on his way to a season long loan with Dundee.

The defender signed a new two year Celtic contract earlier this week and will go straight into Neil McCann’s first team.

Emilio Izaguirre’s return on a one year contract has allowed Brendan Rodgers to ‘release’ Miller giving him the chance to get a season of first team football.

Last season Scott Allan moved on loan to Dundee at the start of the season with Dundee, Celtic and Hibs involved in a three way swap in January that resulted in Scott Bain moving to Celtic. In January the hoops signed Jack Hendry from the dark blues for £1.2m.

Miller played as a striker or left-winger until Brendan Rodgers arrived at Celtic and was converted into a left-back- one that loves to race up the park at every opportunity.

On Monday the 20-year-old was in outstanding form as Celtic beat Dundee 3-0 in the SPFL Reserve League with his new contract signed soon afterwardS.
