Celtic are preparing to deal with bids from Lyon and Marseilles for Moussa Dembele.

Reports in the Daily Mail and The Sun suggest that both clubs are ready to test Celtic’s resolve with bids in the region of £20m for the French u-21 striker.

Celtic are under no pressure to sell, a point that Brendan Rodgers chose to highlight as recently as Friday after building up a healthy £30m bank balance on the back of successive Champions League campaigns.

Dembele is halfway through the four year contract that he signed from Fulham with all parties quite open that the move north was anticipated as a stepping stone to a bigger transfer.

With Celtic failing to add anyone to last season’s first team squad it would be an especially bitter pill to swallow watching the 22-year-old move on in the final days of the transfer window.

Rodgers will react to the speculation this afternoon when he gives his pre-match media conference to preview tomorrow’s Europa League play-off against Suduva.
