Rod Stewart has taken Ian ‘the Moose’ to task for referring to Celtic as champions of the Scottish Pub League.

The ill informed TalkSPORT reporter took to twitter last week to gloat over Celtic’s Champions League defeat from AEK Athens.

Chris Sutton quickly put the West Ham fan in his place as he launched onto the usual criticisms of the Scottish game from those that can’t see past the glories of Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

TalkSPORT quickly hatched onto the reaction the comments were creating as Celtic fans reminded the Moose that West Ham have achieved nothing in the last thirty years other than bounce between the top two divisions.

Stewart picked up on the comments and decided to e-mail the Moose with the contents published today.

Two matches into the new season and West Ham are at the bottom of the EPL with pressure starting to grow on Manuel Pellegrini who replaced Davie Moyes who succeeded in last season’s relegation battle.
