Kenny Miller has ‘stepped down’ as player-manager of Livingston after just two Premiership matches!

As recently as Saturday the former Scotland striker was giving interviews explaining how happy he was to be a manager, telling The Scotsman that he felt he could play on until he was 45.

Last night it emerged that all wasn’t well behind the scenes with a formal announcement expected today by the club to announce that Miller wouldn’t be continuing as manager. His playing contract may be a difficult issue.

Livi can expect a string of accusations to be made public involving their media friendly former manager who has already become a regular pundit with Radio Scotland.

Miller spent a number of weeks considering the offer to become manager of Livingston and finally agreed a deal after they allowed to the player-manager role.

On Saturday Livi lost 1-0 at home to Motherwell in the Betfred Cup, late on Sunday night news emerged that Miller would no longer be in charge of the newly promoted side.

Any manager considering offering the 38-year-old a playing contract will effectively be employing their successor.
