Chris Sutton has told Celtic fans that he’ll never become a Derek Johnstone style cheerleader.
Two years ago the former hoops striker made a memorable appearance on Radio Clyde as he took apart Johnstone’s unstinting support for every regime at Ibrox.
Sutton has never been invited back onto Radio Clyde, in the summer Johnstone became a Sevco ambassador.

This morning in his Daily Record column the former hoops striker accused his old club of industrial scale mismanagement with some fans upset by that brutal assessment.
No one was spared in Sutton’s view with fingers of blame pointed at the board, dug-out and scouting/recruitment department.
Most cheerleader pundits would choose a different topic to deflect attention but Sutton followed up his midweek criticism with only Daniel Arzani signed up in the aftermath of the AEK defeat.
At lunchtime today Sutton will be back in the firing line as part of the BT Sport team on duty for Celtic’s Betfred Cup tie against Partick Thistle.
