Regan Hendry has been training with Norwich City ahead of a possible move to the Championship side.
The Evening News revealed details of the proposal for the 20-year-old who has still to make his competitive debut for Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers included Hendry in the squad that he took to Austria for pre-season training but there is an abundance of midfield options in his path to a first team place.
Hendry had a spell on loan at Raith Rovers last season and made a decent impression after managing to force his way into the side.
It’s doubtful if he would be ready for the physical demands of playing in the Championship but his skill and pace isn’t up for debate.
With the Reserve League reduced to just 17 fixtures playing time will be limited with Celtic opening the door for a low transfer fee to Norwich that includes a sizeable sell-on clause.
