Celtic’s reserve side are in action tonight at Cliftonhill against Albion Rovers in the Jock Stein Friendship trophy.
Tommy McIntyre has named what is basically an u-19 side for the match against the League Two side.
The reserve squad has had a varied set of fixtures in pre-season with their last outing a 2-1 win over South Shields following on from a 1-0 defeat from Marseille in the South Shields Trophy.
Tonight’s match is the final warm up before the first competitive game of the season- away to Annan Athletic next Tuesday in the Irn Bru Cup.
The two clubs met at the same competition last season with Annan winning 3-1 against the ten man Celtic Colts.
After that the new look Reserve League kicks off on Monday August 20 against Dunfermline at Cappielow with that match kicking off at 2pm.
